To play along just answer the following three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Recently read
Much to my chagrin, I haven’t finished a book since last week’s WWW. I had a crazy weekend, plus I’m behind on reviews, so my reading’s been going slower than usual. But I’ve got a vacation coming up, so hopefully I’ll be able to devour some text during the next week or so.
Currently reading
I’m still reading Gods Behaving Badly for 1book140, and I still haven’t had a chance to participate in the online chat portion — I just don’t have free time during the week. Maybe this weekend, though…
I’ve also just started my August book for the Gothic Reading Challenge: The Castle of Otranto, by Horace Walpole. I’ve been told it’s a bizarre little story, and the introduction to the story seems to confirm that. I need a good weird story, though, so here’s hoping it’s also awesome.
Coming up next
If only I knew! I’ve got a week-long vacation coming up, and I’m planning on taking some books with me. Maybe I’ll finally get to The Secret History of the Pink Carnation. Or Graveminder. Or maybe even The Letters of John and Abigail Adams. Which should I read next?
I’ve been eyeing Graveminder for a while now but still hesitant to pick up the book. It looks scary… I always read at night so I’m not sure if this book is for me 😉
Thank you for visiting my blog. About Forbidden, I really really enjoyed it. It’s so heartbreaking and disturbing at the same time. I so love the book. Definitely one of my top favorites! You should read it if you’re not repulsive to sibling incest issue, otherwise, you might find it really disgusting and gross. I’ve written my review on it. You can check my Forbidden Review if you like 🙂

Graveminder might be a little frightening, but I’ve gotten more into the Southern Gothic genre recently — supernatural activity with a New Orleans/deep south backdrop is practically irresistible!
Ooh, Forbidden does sound like a tough read. It reminds me of Flowers in the Attic, minus the creepy-grandmother-locks-her-grandkids-into-the-attic vibe.
Just checking out the WWW Wednesdays. I want to read Gods Behaving Badly, you’ll have to post a review or tell me what you think of it. Check out mine if you have a chance and please subscribe http://thenovelstudent.blogspot.com/2011/08/www-wednesdays.html
Thanks for stopping by, Lexi! I’m really enjoying Gods Behaving Badly, and my (trying to) participate in 1book140 has forced me to read more slowly than I usually do. It very rarely takes me more than two weeks to read a book. 🙂
The graveminder looks really good.
Here’s my W..W..W.. post.
Doesn’t it, though? I’m having trouble keeping myself from flying through it.
Definitely The Letters of John and Abigail Adams!! I want to read that book too! Right after the stack of 10 I have on my nightstand! Haha!
It probably is time for a little non-fiction. Ugh, but it’s just so exhuasting! I’d much rather escape into a fantasy world. :p
