(Saturday Snapshot is brought to you by At Home With Books. Join us!)
I’ve been cross-stitching (with varying degrees of success) since middle school, but lacked the patience to complete anything until I was in college. I then made the mistake of discussing my liking of the art, and people started giving me cross-stitch patterns and kits and gifts. I lack the capacity to let something sit around unfinished, so I’ve been sewing up a storm the last few months.
First up is Santa, in-progress and then complete (Instagram filters FTW!):
Santa is one of five cross-stitch ornaments gifted to me by my mom last year (!!), and I’ll be proud to put them all on my tree come Christmas.
It will make me feel better about definitely not having finished this monstrosity:
Just looking at this makes me want to drink, but I doubt it would help me finish any faster. 🙂
I could never get into cross stitching but I’m so impressed with people who have the patience to do so. I hope you post a picture of the finished product of the extensive one. 🙂
It took me a long time to develop the patience. Starting with smaller pieces is definitely better.
Not sure I’ll ever finish the big one; but if I do, I’ll be posting pictures of it everywhere! 😀
Aww those are so cute! My mother does a lot of cross stitching so my house is full of her creations.
They all came out pretty good, despite my bumbling a couple things. And there’s only so many cross-stitch pieces you can make before you have to give them away because you’re out of wall space. 🙂
