Wow. Yea, so round two of my summer project totally snuck up on me. This round began June 16 and ends today, June 30.
There were some doozies this time around.
(1) Best Friend will indeed feed into my habits by purchasing cardstock and a magical…thingy (yea, that’s the technical term) that cuts said cardstock into circles of various diameters.
(2) Working nine hours a day, reading for this blog, reading for work-related stuff, reading books that I’m not reviewing in the blog, and generally managing my life do not contribute to my free time in which I can play with paper, colored pencils, and glue.
(3) I’m really, really not a visual person. And I don’t know how to get better at it.
I really do.
Hard to read, but it’s a tribute to Jim Cullum’s Landing, a fantastic jazz bar on the San Antonio Riverwalk, where I had one of the best nights of my life.
IA = Information Architect. I’m a website narrator.
My mom was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. She’s currently undergoing chemotherapy.
I saw the film “Enchanted” (2007) again this past weekend, and remembered how much I love it (and her clothes!)

I wish that I had made a stronger effort to find a guest artist for this round of visual journaling. Another case of life getting the way of fun stuff, I suppose.
The next few weeks are going to be extra busy. On one hand I’ll have plenty to journal about, but I doubt I’ll have the time to do so. So I’ll play catch-up and see if I can keep up.
The next round of the Experiment ends July 15, but there will be plenty of reviews between now and then, so stay tuned. Happy reading!
