To play along just answer the following three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Recently finished
I caught up with Jameson Rook and Detective Nikki Heat in time to help them solve the mystery in Naked Heat (that’s right, I helped). A great mystery, better and more engaging than the first, and the perfect fun holiday read.
Currently reading
I’m in the “Sitting Room” section of Bill Bryson’s At Home, and am liking it more than I really thought I would. It’s a chunkster, though, so I’m trying to figure out how to savor it and still have something to talk about here. More on that later this week.
Coming up next
Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise, I’ll soon be cracking the spine of Warm Bodies (pun intended and kinda gross, but still funny).
What are you reading this week?
Bill Bryson is fabulous! The fun thing about a chunkster like At Home is that you can pick it up and put it down any time without really losing any kind of story thread. It’s more of a coffee table book that way.
I’m really, really enjoying the book. It’s about way more than bedrooms and bathrooms, and pulls in all kind of historical awesomeness. I told Best Friend last night that I didn’t used to think that reading about furniture could be funny, but there I was, sitting on the sofa and giggling.
It’s a book that you can definitely put down and come back to later, but I’m having trouble setting it down to do anything else!
